City Council met in regular session. Meeting Present: called to order by Mayor Rowland. Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P.Smlth, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes of June 21st, 1937, was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried. July 6th, 1937. ?:30 No written or oral protests were presented and on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the a!}plica- tion of Dr. W. A. Harris to Conduct his office at 801 French Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. The recom- mendation of the Planning Commission was read and on mot ion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the appli- cation of Dr. W. A. Harris was granted to conduct his office at 801 French Street, under special use. ,, On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of Floyd B. Smith to have the property at the southwest co~ner of First and Shelton Streets rezoned to per- mit a drive-in cafe, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the property at the southwest corner of First and Shelton Streets was ordered posted for neighborhood business zone and the hearing date set July 19th, 1937, in accordance with the spplication of Floyd B. Smith to conduct a drive-in cafe. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of E. B. Moritz Foundry for a permit to con- struct a building to he used for foundry and machine shop on Lots 22, 23, 12 and 13, Block F, Santa Ana Tract, which is located on South Main Street,125 feet south Of Central Avenue was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the property known as Lots 22, 23, 12 and 13, Block F, Santa Ana Tract, was ordered posted for heavy industrial zone and the hearing date set July 19th, 1937, in accordance with the ~ppllcation of E.B. Moritz Foundry to construct a building to be used for foundry and ~achine shop. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of Mrs. C. D. Ball and family expressing appreciation and acknowledging the Council's expression of
