Council Chambers Santa Ana City Hall. July 19th, 1937. 9:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Nayor Rowland. Present: Trustees plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layt~n, Fred C. Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes of July 6th, 1937, was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried. In Re Application Chas. P. Mosher. In Re AppliCation E. B. M6ritz Foundry. In Re Application Floyd B. Smith. In Re Application No w~itten or oral protests having been presented, on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the appli- cation of Chas. P. Nosher for permission to conduct the business of selling auto trailers at 2005 S. Main Street, was referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on mo~ion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Cha~ P. Nosher to sell auto trailers at 2005 S. Main Street, was granted for special use. ,, No written 0r oral protests having been presented, on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the appli- cation of E.B. Moritz Foundry to construct a building to be used for foundry and machine shop on Lots 22, 23, 12 and 13, Block F, Santa Ama Tract, was referred to the Planning Com- mission together with the communication of the Santa Ama Realty Board stating that applications of this nature be held in abeyance until the services of an expert planner.are obtained. No written or oral protests having been presented, on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the appli- cation of Floyd B. Smith to erect a drive-in cafe at the s~uthwest corner of First and Shelton Streets, was referred back to the Planning Commission. Complying with the recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property described as follows; Beginning at the north- east corner of Block A of Hell Tract; thence West 57 feet; thence South 145 feet; thence East 45 feet; thence North 145 feet to the point of beginning, was ordered rezoned from single family residence zone to neighborhood business zone and the City Attorney instructed to prepare the Ordinance coverJ ng change of zone. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of H.. E. 5~artin to construct a duplex on ~he H. E. Nartin.
