Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />July 19th, 1937. 9:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Nayor Rowland. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layt~n, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, <br />further reading of the Minutes of July 6th, 1937, <br />was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on motion <br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Chas. P. Mosher. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />AppliCation <br /> <br />E. B. M6ritz Foundry. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Floyd B. Smith. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />No w~itten or oral protests having been presented, on motion <br />of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the appli- <br />cation of Chas. P. Nosher for permission to conduct the <br />business of selling auto trailers at 2005 S. Main Street, was <br />referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on mo~ion of <br />Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application <br />of Cha~ P. Nosher to sell auto trailers at 2005 S. Main <br />Street, was granted for special use. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />No written 0r oral protests having been presented, on motion <br />of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the appli- <br />cation of E.B. Moritz Foundry to construct a building to be <br />used for foundry and machine shop on Lots 22, 23, 12 and 13, <br />Block F, Santa Ama Tract, was referred to the Planning Com- <br />mission together with the communication of the Santa Ama <br />Realty Board stating that applications of this nature be held <br />in abeyance until the services of an expert planner.are <br />obtained. <br /> <br />No written or oral protests having been presented, on motion <br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the appli- <br />cation of Floyd B. Smith to erect a drive-in cafe at the <br />s~uthwest corner of First and Shelton Streets, was referred <br />back to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Complying with the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the property described as follows; Beginning at the north- <br />east corner of Block A of Hell Tract; thence West 57 feet; <br />thence South 145 feet; thence East 45 feet; thence North 145 <br />feet to the point of beginning, was ordered rezoned from <br />single family residence zone to neighborhood business zone <br />and the City Attorney instructed to prepare the Ordinance <br />coverJ ng change of zone. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of H.. E. 5~artin to construct a duplex on ~he <br /> <br />H. E. Nartin. <br /> <br /> <br />
