On motion of T~ustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Mayor was authorized to communicate with the management of the Community Chest endorsing the Santa Ana Coordinating Council as one of the agencies is to be solicited in the next for which financila support Community Chest drive. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the requestof the Church of Christ to place church markers ati Fairview and Main Streets, at the city limits of Santa Ana Boulevard, N. Street, was of the City Main Street, W. granted and to be Engineer. On motion of Trustee Bruns, Seventeenth Street and S. Main installed under the supervision seconded by Penn and carried, the request of Robert P. Eellogg, Captain l@5th Infantry, for a donation of $200.00 to the mess fund of Company "L" during encampment, was granted and Clerk instructed to draw warrant for said amount. ,, On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communications of the Los Angeles County 1937 Admission Day Committee extending an invitation to the City to partici- pate in Santa Monica's celebration of Admission Day, by entering a float, band or other sui~able parade units, was referred to the Standing Committee. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the applications of the Santa Ana Neon Company to hang elec- tric signs, were granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector at the following locations: L. B. Beck Bill Squyres Flowerland Sanders & Bonds Cafe 410 N. Broadway 112 N. Main St. 510 N. Broadway 109 E. 6th St. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the invitation of the NorthernYuma County Chamber of Commerce and associated chambers, to Mayor Rowland to attend the official dedication of the Bridge at Parker, September 25th and 26th, 1937, was referred to the Mayor for disposition. ,, On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the financial Statement of the Library Board for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1937, submitted by Harry L. Hanson, Secretary, was referred to the Finance Committee.
