On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "A Resolution fixing the salaries of appointive officers and m~mbers of the following deoartments: Auditor; Clerk' Treasurer, Inspectors; Police; ~ire; Engir~ering; Street; Sanitary; Water; Parks; Sewer; Garage; Pound and Museum" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2530 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees PlummeT W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Trustees None. Noe s, Absent, Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Bruns, the budget for the fiscal year 1937-38 as City Auditor, was approved. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Layton and carried, submitted by the seconded by Penn and carried, a Resolution approving the plans and specifications for the improvement of Broadway from First Street to Tenth Street and Fourth Street at Sycamore Street in the City of Santa Ana and approving the notice inviting bids attached to plans and specifications and the prevailing wage scale there in set forth is adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for the type of work to be done under said contract and instruct- ing the Clerk to advertise for bids for the doing of said work, was read, considered, designated Resolution No, 2531 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees PlummeT W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest II. Layton, Fred C. Rowlsnd. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the matter of a proposed park and playground consisting of 2.57 acres at the end of East Camille Street between Maple and Oak Streets, was referred to the Forestry Board f~rstudy and comment. Quotations received and submitted for trash truck were presented as follows: W. W. Woods Nec $1388.75 Net Truck Sales Co. G.M.C. 1260.23 " M. Eltiste & Co. International 1097.50 " On recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and on motion of Trustee Layton, or bid submitted by M. Eltiste & Truck in amount of $1097.50, net, seconded by Penn and carried, the quotation Company for International was accepted. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the Purchasing Agent was authorized to purchase identificatiol cards for the Police Department to be used and required for proper indentification record of all city employees.
