No.2§33 Olive Street On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns an~ carrie~ matter of awarding contract for improvement of Broadway from 1st to 10th and intersection of Ath at Sycamore Sts., was made special order of business at meeting to be held Monday, August 23rd, 1B3?,~at ?:30 P.M. # On motion of Trustee Smith--seconded b B and carried, with reference to the purchase oran ~tomor~le, report of Auditor/was received and he was authorized and directed to purchase Dodge coupe, in the amount of $82§.00, for use of the Water Department. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the City Attorney was authorized to compromise suit in claim of $5,000.00, filed by Mrs. Jessie Gregory, in the sum of $2§0.00, and warrant ordered drawn in her favor. # On motion of ~runs, seconded by Smith and carried, the fo] lng Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance Amending Section 14 of Ordinance No. ~58 of the City of Santa Aha Entitled "An Ordinance Providing for the Licensing of Business, ~hows, Exhibitions and Games Conducted or Carried on in the City of Santa Ana, Fixing the Rate of License There- fore and Providing f~r CollectiOn Thereof# was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. # On motion of Trustee Layton, secor~ed by Bruns and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Concerning Use of Olive Stree~# was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2533 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees: Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Noes, Trustees: None Absent, Trustees: None. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the City Council adjourned to August 23rd, 7:30 P.M.
