Council Cha~be rs Santa Aha City Hall August 23rd, 1957, 7:30 P.M, City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by MaYOr Rowland. Present: Trustees: Pl~,mmer W. Fellows # The awarding of the contract for the i~pr°vement of Broadway from 1st to 10th Sts. and the intersection at 4th at Sycamore Sts, being made a special order of business at the regular adjourned meetingheld Wednesday, August 7:30 P.M., was taken up as first order of business. 'On motion of TrUStee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the bid of Oswald Bros. for the improvement of Broadway 1st to 10th Sts. and the intersection at %th at Sycamore Sts, was awarded at their unit bid price of $32,941.%9, and all other bids were rejected and bidders bonds or checks thereon ordered returnedto such: 0ther~bidders.~ Boll Call - Trustees: ~ves Joseph P. League of Municipalities relative regular meetlng of the League to be held at Hotel Laguna, Laguna Beach, Thursday, Aug. 26th, was received and filed ~ Council and Department heads were urged to atbend due to the fact that it will be one of the ~utstanding meetings of the year. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, communication from City of Brea acknowledging receipt of copy of Resolution No. 2532, ~mreceived and placed on file and Chairman of the Council appoint committee, consisting himself as Chairman, to attend ~oint meetirg of the Board of Supervisors to be held August 2%th, at l0 A.M., when Joint protests will be presented to them from other member cities of the League of Municipalities.
