In Re Applications Taxicab Drivers. In Re Agreement Jennie Sweetser. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of Geo. S. Prentice to construct a duplex at 532 Linwood Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion o~ Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property known as Lot 31, Tract 319 located at 832 Linwood Street was ordered posted for special use and the Joint hearing date set September 20,1R37, in compliance with the application of Geo. S. Prentice to erect a duplex. A petition with thirty-six signatures attached was presented protesting against the keeping of rabbits at 524 Virginia Street. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and against carried, the petition/and the application of Joseph W. for a permit to conduct a commercial poultry yard snd keep at 524 Virginia Street, about fifty rabbits,/were referred to the Planning Commission On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the appli- cation of Joseph W. Barlow as denied. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of James A. Demetriou to conduct a commercial poultry yard at 10~3 W. Myrtle Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Com- mission and on motion of Trustee Smith, and carried the application of James A. # seconded by Layton Demetriou was denied. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of T. Gray Johnston of the Business Insti- tute protesting against the distribution of handbills, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication from the City of San Clemente and copy of Resolution No. 297 protesting against discontinuance of the gasoline tax allocation to Cities from the County of Orange, was received and filed. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the applications of ~ialone Holmes, F. E. Woods and Lloyd F. Carlisle to drive taxicabe for the Blue Cab Company, were granted'on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign an agreement with Jennie Sweetser covering construction of an electric sign at 81~ N. Main Street, which extends over the ten foot set- back line established on North Main Street.
