S. Prentice to construct a duplex at <br />532 Linwood Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion o~ <br />Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property <br />known as Lot 31, Tract 319 located at 832 Linwood Street <br />was ordered posted for special use and the Joint hearing date <br />set September 20,1R37, in compliance with the application of <br />Geo. S. Prentice to erect a duplex. <br /> <br />A petition with thirty-six signatures attached was presented <br />protesting against the keeping of rabbits at 524 Virginia <br /> <br />Street. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and <br /> against <br />carried, the petition/and the application of Joseph W. <br /> <br />for a permit to conduct a commercial poultry yard snd keep <br /> at 524 Virginia Street, <br />about fifty rabbits,/were referred to the Planning Commission <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br />of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the appli- <br />cation of Joseph W. Barlow as denied. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of James A. Demetriou to conduct a commercial <br />poultry yard at 10~3 W. Myrtle Street, was referred to the <br />Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Com- <br /> <br />mission and on motion of Trustee Smith, <br />and carried the application of James A. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />seconded by Layton <br /> <br />Demetriou was denied. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the communication of T. Gray Johnston of the Business Insti- <br /> tute protesting against the distribution of handbills, was <br /> received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the communication from the City of San Clemente and copy of <br />Resolution No. 297 protesting against discontinuance of the <br />gasoline tax allocation to Cities from the County of Orange, <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the applications of ~ialone Holmes, F. E. Woods and Lloyd F. <br />Carlisle to drive taxicabe for the Blue Cab Company, were <br />granted'on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign an agreement with <br />Jennie Sweetser covering construction of an electric sign <br />at 81~ N. Main Street, which extends over the ten foot set- <br />back line established on North Main Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
