Tn Re Attendance at Council Meetings. In Re Conventi on--League of Calif. Municipalities. Mayor of the ity of Santa Ana. On motion of the Department Heads of the City of Santa Ana to attend the Council Meetings and occupy the desk assigned to them. . On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, Sewer and Water Commissioner Joseph P. Smith and Water Super- intendent Hugh Neighbour were instructed to attend the Con- vention of the League of California Municipalities to be held September 13th to 16th, 1937, inclusive. in San Jose, # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, were requested chairs and Trustee B~uns, seconded by Penn and carried, the City Council adjourned. Bruns, JosePh P. W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Smith, Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Each Trustee having received a copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes of September 7th, 1937, was dispensed with and the Minutes approved on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried. In Re Application Geo. S. Prentice. In Re Application Mrs. Ethel Geist. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of Geo. S. Prentice for permission to erect a duplex at 532 Linwood Street, being Lot 31, Tract 319, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the applica. tion of Geo. S. Prentice for permission to erect a duplex at was granted for special use. 532 Linwood Street, # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of Mrs. Ethel Geist for a permit to conduct a beauty shop at 1063 W. First Street, was referred to the Planning Commission.
