Co. <br /> <br />League of Municipalities. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Townsend Club #11. <br /> <br /> The ~Omm~ndation of the Planning Commission was read that <br /> the application of Mrs. Ethel Geist be referred to the prope <br /> department and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns <br /> and carried, a temporary permit was granted Mrs. Ethel C-eist <br /> to conduct a beauty Shop at 1063 W. First Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the application of W. C. Kester for a permit to construct 12 <br /> unit auto courts on property lying immediately south of 2415 <br /> N. Main Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br /> Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the property <br /> described in the application of W.C. Kester was ordered poste <br /> for special use when the correct legal description is fur- <br /> nished and the hearing date was set October 4th, 1937. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the application of Ray B. Hoxsie for permission to erect a <br /> duplex at 214 N. Garnsey Street, was referred to the <br /> Commission. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> delay <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission that action be <br /> <br /> on the application of Ray B. Hox~le until building plans <br /> further information regarding duplex is furnished, was <br /> followed, the Commission granted further time and the Clerk <br /> instructed to advise Mr. Hoxsie of the action taken. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the communication of the United States Conference of Mayors <br />extending an invitation to attend the Annual Conference to be <br />held in Washington on November 15th to 17th, 1937, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the communication of the United States Conference of Mayors <br />submitting an analysis of the new Housing Act, was received <br />and filed with the Clerk for public information. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the communication of the Orange County League of Municipali- <br />ties relative to monthly meeting to be held at the Golden <br />Bear Cafe, at 6:40 P.M., September 23rd, 1937, in Huntington <br />Beach, was received and filed and all who can attend to make <br />reservations with the Clerk. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the communication of the Townsend Club #11 expressing appreci <br />ation for the use of Birch Park and the cooperation given <br />them in making their meeting a success, was received and file <br /> <br /> <br />
