The ~Omm~ndation of the Planning Commission was read that the application of Mrs. Ethel Geist be referred to the prope department and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, a temporary permit was granted Mrs. Ethel C-eist to conduct a beauty Shop at 1063 W. First Street. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of W. C. Kester for a permit to construct 12 unit auto courts on property lying immediately south of 2415 N. Main Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the property described in the application of W.C. Kester was ordered poste for special use when the correct legal description is fur- nished and the hearing date was set October 4th, 1937. . On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of Ray B. Hoxsie for permission to erect a duplex at 214 N. Garnsey Street, was referred to the Commission. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, delay the recommendation of the Planning Commission that action be on the application of Ray B. Hox~le until building plans further information regarding duplex is furnished, was followed, the Commission granted further time and the Clerk instructed to advise Mr. Hoxsie of the action taken. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the United States Conference of Mayors extending an invitation to attend the Annual Conference to be held in Washington on November 15th to 17th, 1937, was received and filed. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the United States Conference of Mayors submitting an analysis of the new Housing Act, was received and filed with the Clerk for public information. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the Orange County League of Municipali- ties relative to monthly meeting to be held at the Golden Bear Cafe, at 6:40 P.M., September 23rd, 1937, in Huntington Beach, was received and filed and all who can attend to make reservations with the Clerk. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of the Townsend Club #11 expressing appreci ation for the use of Birch Park and the cooperation given them in making their meeting a success, was received and file
