Minter to rezone the northeast corner of Flower and Santa Ana Boulevard for neighborhood business zone, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation 'of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of Eleanor M. Minter was denied. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application of W. H. Smith for permission to conduct his ambulance service from his residence at 812 Bush Street, was referred to Trustees Stuns and Layton to report back. On motion of T~ustee' Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication of Fullerton Post #142 of the American Legion extending an invitation to participate in Armistice Day Celebration, was referred to Trustees Bruns and Penn for investigation. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication of the Chamber of Commerce requesting the appointment of a member from the Council to meet~with repre- sentatives fr~tothe~ organizations to discuss need of an expert city pla~xning consultant, was referred to the Planning Commission. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of the Pacific Coast Plumbing Inspectors Assocation relative to their Eighth Annual Conventioh to be held in the Hotel San Diego, San Diego, October 14, 15 and 16th, was read and H. O. Crowe, Plumbing Inspector, authorize to attend the convention. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication of Harvey & Harvey requesting that their client Wm. Noble be allowed to remove or have the City remove~the large acacia treein the curbing at 513 S. Sycamore Street, which is causing the curbing and sidewalk to break, was referred to the Forestry Board with recommendation that the tree be removed. . On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the request of Geo. D. Newcom, Secretary of the Santa Aha City Schools, for the installation of a street light on Sycamore Street near the rear entrance to 1012 N. Main Street was referred to the Street Commissioner and City Engineer with power to act. #
