Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />Beptember 5th, 1@39. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Brune, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> E. D. Yost, D. W. Kelsey, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and <br />each member of the City Council having received a copy <br />of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes of August <br />21st, 1939, was dispensed with and the Minutes approved <br />on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Most and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Cai. Pearcy. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Most and carried, <br />the communication of the California Sewage Works Association <br />extending an invitation to all public officials to attend th~ <br />Twelfth Annual Convention of the Association in Oakland, <br />September 18th and 19th, was referred to the department of <br />public health for consideration and disposal. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Most, <br />the communication of B. J. <br /> <br />seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br /> <br />Smith, County Clerk, together wit] <br /> <br />~opy of minute order of the Board of Supervisors, relative to <br />cancellation of taxes on certain parcels of real property <br />owned by the City of Santa Aha, was received and referred to <br /> <br />the Auditor. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Most, <br /> <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />the applications of electrical contractors to hang electrical <br />signs, were granted and ordered hung under the supervision of <br />the Electrical Inmpector, as follows: <br /> <br />- Two Sisters Cafe <br /> Lovaas Health Center <br /> Barney Koster-Studebaker <br /> Mandic & Steiner-Pontiac <br /> <br />717 N. Main St. <br />502 S. Main St. <br />207 E. First St. <br />117 N. Sycamore St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Most and carried, <br />the' communication of Ada L.C. Museus with reference to having <br />a fire hydrant moved which is placed too near her driveway at <br />9111 N. Ross Street and also with reference to a drive being <br />made for the control of rats, was referred to the Department <br />of Public Health. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Most and carried, <br />the communication of Edgar J. Pearcy, realtor, calling atten- <br />tion to the matter of a traffic walk for pedestrians at Seve~ <br />and Main Streets, was referred to the Department of Public <br />Safety. <br /> <br />h <br /> <br /> <br />
