In Re Request for Tender - Naval Air Station Disposal of Sewage In Re Petition Close Alley 1000 Block btn 4th & 5th In Re Monthly Reports In Re Variance No. 25 Mr.&Mrs. A.H.Famulara In Re Bids - Water Meters On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign the Request for Tender providing for the services to be rendered in accordance with Agreement between the United States of America and the City of Santa Ana, Cal. for the disposal of sewage from the Naval Air Station, Santa Ana and for construction of sewage connections, dated January 18th, 194~. A petition signed by twenty-four residents and property owners in the vicinity of property lying adjacent to the alley extending in m easterly and westerly directic through Block 4 of the Salisbury Addition, located in the 1000 block between W. 4th and W. 5th Sts., request- ing that said alley be closed~ was read. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, matter was referred to a committee for study and report back at next meeting. A committee composed of City Engineer, Street Commissioner and Water Commissioner was appointed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the report of City Judge Larsh for period December 1st, 1944 to December 4th, 1944; Juvenile report for month of November and Police report for Nov. were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the recommendation, by Resolution, of the Planning Commission was concurred in and the applicatio~ of Mr. & Mrs. A.H.Famulara to conduct an auto trailer park at 2720 West First St., was approved. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering the furnishing of 1S0 5/8" x 3/4" bronze case water meters reading in cubic feet, without couplings, as follows: Hersey Mfg. Co.: 150 - 5/8 x 3/4" Model ND Bronze Case Water Meters, round reading in cubic feet, without couplings, $11.00 each $1650.00. Cash discount 2~ ten days. Certified check in the amount of $165.00 attached to bid. Worthington Pump & Machinery Corp.: 150 - 5/8 x 5~4" split case Bronze Model "G" Meters, R.R. cu. ft. oil trains, @ $10.00 each, total $1,500.00. Less 2% cash discount. Bond in amount of ,$200,00 attached to bid. Neptune Meter Co.: 150 - 5/8 x 5/4" Trident Split Case Meters with Bronze Casings Rd. Rdg. Cu. Ft. ~20.00 less 40% discount or $12.00 each net, total 1800.00. Pittsburgh Equitable Meter Co.: 150 - 8/8x 3/4" Empire Streamline Bronze Case Water Meters~ Round Reading in cubic feet, without couplings, $11.O0 net each, total $1,650.00 net.
