<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, a
<br /> Resolution eliminating the west 30 feet on the south side of East
<br /> Fifth Street between Spurgeon and French Streets, located as
<br /> follows: the East 53 feet of the West 85 feet, in accordance with
<br /> request of Orange County Refrigerator Company, was tabled for
<br /> fur tt~er study.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br /> the following Resolution adding classifications and setting out
<br /> salaries of Stero-Clerk II and Wash-Grease Man, was read, consider
<br /> designated Resolution Nol 3711 and passed by the following vote:

<br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil R. Heed,

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />seconded by M~ndy and carried, the bid of L.W.Bemis Tractor and
<br />Implement Company, in the amount of $10,660.00, plus sales tax,
<br />less 2% was accepted covering the furnishing of one, Model 103,
<br />Heavy Duty Motor Grader.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee
<br />Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the bid of Stanley T.
<br />Woods, in the amount of $5,605.77~ was accepted, covering the
<br />
<br />construction o.f curb and sidewalks in Santa Ana ~emorial Park.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute Lease No. 12630, dated
<br />September 21st, 1948, covering use of triangular strip of railroa.
<br />right-of-w~ay at the chlorine tank car unloading site, Joint
<br />Outfall Sewer, between City of Santa Ana and the Pacific Electric
<br />Railway Company.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the
<br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute agreement dated Sept.
<br />17th, 1948 between State of California and City of Santa Aha, for
<br />the purpose of installation of a standard railroad spur track, at
<br />or near the Joint 0utfall Sewer.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Heed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the
<br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute Industrial Track
<br />Agreement between City and Pacific Electric Railway Co. dated
<br />Sept. 22nd, ~948 covering leasing of approximately 305.0 lineal
<br />feet of track facil~ities, at or near the Flood Control Channel,
<br />Santa Ana River, in connection with the Joint Outfall Sewer.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chand~m r and carried, the
<br />Fire Training Program to ~e conducted during the month of November
<br />was approved.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Cheney
<br />seconded by Mandy and carried, the request of C.HoEckles, Owner,
<br />Santa Aha Bus Service for permission to have his buses leave
<br />
<br />St. Gertrude Place and Garnsey Street and to traverse at. Gertrude
<br />Lowell, Glenwood, Flower Streets and return to the starting
<br />
<br />~oint, was approved.
