On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the application of Cancer Prevention Society to solicit funds was In Re Appointment Civil Service Board tabled for two weeks. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, Sidney L. Lowry was appointed as a member of the Civil Service Boardto fill vacancy created by resignation of Geo. Parker; term to expire December 51st, 1949. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Heed and carried, City Council adjourned. W.J.Cheney Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of November 1st, 1948, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried. In Re Communication was read from President, Kenneth E. Reappointment Recreation Commission Morrison, the Recreation Commission recommending reappointment of of F.W. Niedringhaus and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, F.W.Niedringhaus was reappointed as a member of In Re Reappointment Recreation Commission the Recreation Commission; term to expire December 2nd, 1952. Communication was read from President, Kenneth E. MorrisOn,~ of the Recreation Commission recommending reappointment of Mrs. James Anderson. The Chairman:appointed Mrs. James Anderson for a four year term; term to expire December End, 1982 and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, appoint. In Re Resig~atlon W. Roy George Plann. Comm. ment was approvede Communication was read from Secy. Planning Commission advising of resignation of W. Roy George as a member of the Planning Commission. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, communication was received, filed and resignation accepted and Clerk to write letter of appreciation to Mr. George In Re Communication H.G. Myers for his services. Communication was read from Harry G. Myers, 809 No. Artesia St., protesting operation of rabbit business in the neighborhood. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, matter was referred to the City Attorney to check with Health Department and if violation exists to take necessary action.
