~ouncfl Chamber' Santa ~na Oity Hall November ~2nd, 1948. 4:30 P.M. City Council met for a special meeting for the purpose of designating a Councilman as a representative of the City of Santa Aha at a hearing to be held December 2nd, 1948, by the State Department of Public Health in the matter of the application for the revocation or the suspension of the Sewage Treatment Permit of the Joint Outfall Sewer. Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. Present: Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. Absent: Trustees In Re Appointment Representative at Hearing J. Oo Sewer Permit W.J.Cheney . Due to the fact that Virgil Reed represents the City on the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer Board, it was moved by Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, that the City Council designate and appoint Virgil Reed to'represent the City of Santa Ana at the hearing to be held in Sos Angeles, December 2nd, 1948, in Room 1006, State Building, regarding In Re Compensation Extra duties revocation or suspension of the Sewage Treatment Permit. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee to determine a the reasonable amount of compensation to be paid Virgil Reed for additional duties in connection with hearing to be held December 2nd, 1948 relative to Sewage Treatment Permit. City Auditor and Mayor were appointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the City Council adjourned. AP P~I~ ~ Ma~yor of 'the Cityof Santa Aha. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Cdrson Smith. Absent: Trustees W.J,Cheney Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of November 1Bth and November 22nd, 1948, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried. In Re On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the Joint Outfall Sewer Minutes Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer meeting~ held at Anaheim, November 4th, November 23rd and December 2nd, In Re Communication Bldg. Inspector 1948, were received, approved and filed. Communication was read from Building Inspector complimenting V.E.Downs, Garage Superintendent for prompt service and courteous personal interest in painting and stenciling six cement test storage boxes, and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Ree( and carried, communication was received and filed.
