Water District In Re Monthly Reports In Re Warrants In Re Petition Protesting National's Camp - Central Ave. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, communication from committee of Federal Housing ProJeqt advising of condition of sinks and~trays at Casa de Santa Ana Federal Housing project was received, filed and Mayor authorized to appoint a committee to check with FHA on the proper procedure and method of advertising for such installation and to report back. Trustee Chandler, ~Bu£1ding Inspector and Hesident Manager Hanson were appointe~.as a committee. Communication from Water Superintendent was read requesting that Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids covering furnishing of addressograph for use in the Water Department. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, matter was referred to Water Commissioner for recommendation. On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids covering the furnishing of one load packing trash body and one 2-1/2 ton truck; bids to be opened December 20th, 1948. On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Hammes Decorating Co. was granted an extension of time until December 18th, 1948, to complete the painting of the elevated water tank. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, report of Diehl and Company, public accountants, covering quarterl examination for the period ending September ~Oth, 1948, was received and filed. Communication was read from Metropolitan Water District reference manner of levying taxes for the fiscal year 1949-1950, and on motion of Trust.ee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried,=ommunica' was received, filed and Clerk to notify District that City does not desire to make such election. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the reports of the Building Department, Judge's office, Police Department and Juvenile Bureau, for the month of November, 1948, were received and filed. ,, On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the demands, as audited by the Finance Committee, were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 1715 to 2148 inclusive. Petitions were read signed by South Main Improvement Association and by 231 residents and property owners in the vicinity of National Camp on Central Avenue objecting to operation of such camp and requesting that Citrus Inc. be denied renewal of their lease. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, petitions were received~and filed as application has not been made by Citrus, Inc. for use of City property for National~s C amp. ion
