Water District <br /> <br />In Re <br />Monthly <br />Reports <br /> <br />In Re <br />Warrants <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition <br />Protesting National's <br />Camp - Central Ave. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />communication from committee of Federal Housing ProJeqt advising <br />of condition of sinks and~trays at Casa de Santa Ana Federal <br />Housing project was received, filed and Mayor authorized to <br />appoint a committee to check with FHA on the proper procedure and <br />method of advertising for such installation and to report back. <br />Trustee Chandler, ~Bu£1ding Inspector and Hesident Manager Hanson <br />were appointe~.as a committee. <br /> <br /> Communication from Water Superintendent was read requesting that <br /> Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids covering furnishing of <br /> addressograph for use in the Water Department. On motion of <br /> Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, matter was <br /> referred to Water Commissioner for recommendation. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee <br />Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the Clerk was authorized <br />to advertise for bids covering the furnishing of one load packing <br />trash body and one 2-1/2 ton truck; bids to be opened December <br />20th, 1948. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee <br />Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Hammes Decorating Co. <br />was granted an extension of time until December 18th, 1948, to <br /> <br />complete the painting of the elevated water tank. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />report of Diehl and Company, public accountants, covering quarterl <br />examination for the period ending September ~Oth, 1948, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Metropolitan Water District reference <br />manner of levying taxes for the fiscal year 1949-1950, and on <br />motion of Trust.ee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried,=ommunica' <br />was received, filed and Clerk to notify District that City does <br />not desire to make such election. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />reports of the Building Department, Judge's office, Police <br />Department and Juvenile Bureau, for the month of November, 1948, <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br />,, <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />demands, as audited by the Finance Committee, were approved and <br />Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 1715 <br />to 2148 inclusive. <br /> <br />Petitions were read signed by South Main Improvement Association <br />and by 231 residents and property owners in the vicinity of <br />National Camp on Central Avenue objecting to operation of such <br />camp and requesting that Citrus Inc. be denied renewal of their <br />lease. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, petitions were received~and filed as application has not <br />been made by Citrus, Inc. for use of City property for National~s <br />C amp. <br /> <br />ion <br /> <br /> <br />
