In ~s Petition Pistol Range In Re Petition to install street light W. 18th St. A petition was read signed by thirty-four property owners in the vicinity of present Pistol Range located in Santiago Park protest- ing any enlargement and requesting that range be abandoned. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Ma was authorized to appoint a committee to investigate andreport back. Trustee Mandy and Chief of Police were appointed as a committee. A petition was read signed by sixteen residents and property owners on W. 18th Street between North Main and North Broadway, requesting that a street light beinstalled. On motion of In Re Petition Abandon Vance St. Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, City Engineer was authorized to install such street light. A petition was read signed by Standard 0il Co. and E.B.Moritz requesting that a portion of Vance St. lying southwesterly of Santiago Ave..and.running southeasterly to a dead end at the In Re Variance C.L.Elliott Southern Pacific R.R. Co. right-of-way, a distance of approxlmate3 125 feet, be abandoned. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, in the future, all cost of abandonment of streets or alleys shall be paid for by owners of property who benefit by such abandonment. On motion of Trustee Reed, by Chandler and carried, matter of abandonment of portion of Vance Street, was referred to planning Commission. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission granting a variance to In Re Variance A.Dorsey and Frieda F. Clayton C.L.Elltott to permit enlargement of a non-conforming g~ocery store at 500 E. St. Gertrude Place, was approved and application granted. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission g~anting a variance to A. Dorsey and Frieda F. Clayton to permit automobile parking and a loading and unloading area in connection with a business on In Re Zoning Amendment Allison-Honer Street, said lot to be at 1316-1318 Bush Street, subject to certai conditions, was approved and application granted. Communication was read from Allison C. Honer withdrawing applicati No, 52 for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication was received and filed, together with request for change in zoning to reclassify eleven lots between 17th St. and 18th St. and between In Re Resol. No. 3714 Declaring Stop Intersection Olive St. and Westwood Avenue. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Declaring Stop Intersection" at the intersection of Fourth Street and Flower Street, and all traffic shall stop on Flower Street before entering the intersect- ion, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3714 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Courtney R.
