In ~s <br />Petition <br />Pistol Range <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition <br />to install <br />street light <br />W. 18th St. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by thirty-four property owners in the <br />vicinity of present Pistol Range located in Santiago Park protest- <br />ing any enlargement and requesting that range be abandoned. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Ma <br />was authorized to appoint a committee to investigate andreport <br />back. Trustee Mandy and Chief of Police were appointed as a <br />committee. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by sixteen residents and property <br />owners on W. 18th Street between North Main and North Broadway, <br />requesting that a street light beinstalled. On motion of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition <br />Abandon <br />Vance St. <br /> <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, City Engineer was <br />authorized to install such street light. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by Standard 0il Co. and E.B.Moritz <br />requesting that a portion of Vance St. lying southwesterly of <br />Santiago Ave..and.running southeasterly to a dead end at the <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />C.L.Elliott <br /> <br />Southern Pacific R.R. Co. right-of-way, a distance of approxlmate3 <br />125 feet, be abandoned. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded <br />by Mandy and carried, in the future, all cost of abandonment of <br />streets or alleys shall be paid for by owners of property who <br />benefit by such abandonment. On motion of Trustee Reed, <br />by Chandler and carried, matter of abandonment of portion of Vance <br />Street, was referred to planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission granting a variance to <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />A.Dorsey and <br />Frieda F. Clayton <br /> <br />C.L.Elltott to permit enlargement of a non-conforming g~ocery <br />store at 500 E. St. Gertrude Place, was approved and application <br />granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission g~anting a variance to <br />A. Dorsey and Frieda F. Clayton to permit automobile parking and <br />a loading and unloading area in connection with a business on <br /> <br />In Re <br />Zoning Amendment <br />Allison-Honer <br /> <br />Street, said lot to be at 1316-1318 Bush Street, subject to certai <br />conditions, was approved and application granted. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Allison C. Honer withdrawing applicati <br />No, 52 for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication was <br />received and filed, together with request for change in zoning to <br />reclassify eleven lots between 17th St. and 18th St. and between <br /> <br />In Re <br />Resol. No. 3714 <br />Declaring Stop <br />Intersection <br /> <br />Olive St. and Westwood Avenue. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br /> <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution Declaring Stop Intersection" <br /> <br />at the intersection of Fourth Street and Flower Street, and all <br />traffic shall stop on Flower Street before entering the intersect- <br /> <br />ion, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3714 and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Courtney R.
