Serv. <br /> <br /> On reco~nendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee <br /> Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Resolution <br /> entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Declaring Stop Intersections" <br /> establishing a boulevard stop at the inter~ec'tion of Fourth Street <br /> and Mabury Street, was read, considered, designated Resolution <br /> No. 3640 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, <br /> Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees W.J. Cheney <br /> Communication was read from City Engineer advising that construct. <br /> ion of sanitary sewer on North Bristol St. between 17th and <br /> Gsrden Grove Blvd., has been completed and bond of Pel~nel Barnett <br /> should be released. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by <br /> Reed and carried, City is to retain bond of Pernal Barnett until <br /> litigation is settled. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br /> preceding motion was reconsidered. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, <br /> communication from City Engineer was received, filed and Clerk <br /> authorized t~ release bondsof Pernel Barnett, in the am~unt of <br /> $1~,666~50. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br /> request of The American Mission Army International for permission <br /> to solicit funds, was referred to Business Men's Association for <br /> investigation and recommendation. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from DuMaurier Art Galleries, 1~09-11 So. <br /> Main St., requesting permission to conduct auction covering sale <br /> of antiques, paintings, furniture, etc. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, <br /> permission was granted to conduct such auction for a period of <br /> thirty days to dispose of stock and Clerk to notify Mr. DmMaurier <br /> that it will be necessary to conform to provisions as set out in <br /> Ordinance No. 1155. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />notificatiorsof the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br />beverage applications made by Willard C. Doster and George K. <br />Preston, 902 W. 4th St., and Barbara J. Perris, 610 W. 4th St., <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />applications of Vincent C. Petruzzi, Raymond E. Young, Billy K. <br />Omstead and B. McMullen to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk <br />authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />Request of United Automotive Service for loading zone at ll2 So. <br />Main St., was read and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />Mandy and carried, request was referred t~ Street Commissioner and <br />Engineer for investigation and report back. <br /> <br /> <br />
