No. 3641 ~Lease - J.O.Sewer Maggie Jones Request of J.C.Penney Co. for unloading zone on the west 40 ft. of the east 100 ft. at corner of 8th and Bush on south side of Sth St., w~s read and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, request was referred to Street Con~issioner and Engineer for investigation and report back. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, claim of Head, Wellington & Jacobs, on behalf of their client, Arthur J. Gisler, in the amount of $1,000.00, for settlement of damage done to property owned by Mr. Gisler, was referred to City Attorney for recommendation. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, report of Police Department for the month of Jan. 1948, was received and filed. This being the date set for public hearing to amend the Zoning Ordinance to reclassify Lots 1,3,5,7,9 and ll, in Block "B" of Fisher Tract from R-2 District to C-2 District, being frontage on the north side of First Street betw~en Daisy and Townsend Streets, in accordance with application of Mred E. Smith, and no written or oral protests having been received, on motion of Trustee ~andy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the recommendati. of the Planning Commission was approved and the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for public hearing to amend the Zoning Ordinance to reclassify approximately 280 feet of frontage on the south side of First Street between Bristol and Baker Streets, from R-2 to~C-2 District, in accordance with application of Harold H. Grdenwald, and no written or oral protests having been received, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and t~e following Ordinance entitled: ~"Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, communication of the Planning Commission permitting one temporary sign 4~ By 8~ in size on each of Lots ~ and 14 of Tract No.~ under certain conditions, in accordance witb application of Coast Construction Co., was approved. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, communication of the Planning Commission granting variance permitting automobile parking, by the month, in the rear of the existing building at VlS Bush St., in accordance with application of Mrs. Grace Soest, was approved. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution authorizing execution of land lease covering property belonging to the Joint Outfall Sewer"
