No. 3641 <br />~Lease - J.O.Sewer <br />Maggie Jones <br /> <br />Request of J.C.Penney Co. for unloading zone on the west 40 ft. <br />of the east 100 ft. at corner of 8th and Bush on south side of <br />Sth St., w~s read and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />Chandler and carried, request was referred to Street Con~issioner <br />and Engineer for investigation and report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, claim <br />of Head, Wellington & Jacobs, on behalf of their client, Arthur <br />J. Gisler, in the amount of $1,000.00, for settlement of damage <br />done to property owned by Mr. Gisler, was referred to City <br />Attorney for recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />report of Police Department for the month of Jan. 1948, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />This being the date set for public hearing to amend the Zoning <br />Ordinance to reclassify Lots 1,3,5,7,9 and ll, in Block "B" of <br />Fisher Tract from R-2 District to C-2 District, being frontage <br />on the north side of First Street betw~en Daisy and Townsend <br />Streets, in accordance with application of Mred E. Smith, and no <br />written or oral protests having been received, on motion of <br />Trustee ~andy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the recommendati. <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the following <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second <br />reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for public hearing to amend the Zoning <br />Ordinance to reclassify approximately 280 feet of frontage on <br />the south side of First Street between Bristol and Baker Streets, <br />from R-2 to~C-2 District, in accordance with application of <br />Harold H. Grdenwald, and no written or oral protests having been <br />received, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />approved and t~e following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> ~"Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second <br />reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />communication of the Planning Commission permitting one temporary <br />sign 4~ By 8~ in size on each of Lots ~ and 14 of Tract No.~ <br />under certain conditions, in accordance witb application of Coast <br />Construction Co., was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />communication of the Planning Commission granting variance <br />permitting automobile parking, by the month, in the rear of the <br />existing building at VlS Bush St., in accordance with application <br />of Mrs. Grace Soest, was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution authorizing execution of land <br /> lease covering property belonging to the <br /> Joint Outfall Sewer" <br /> <br /> <br />
