On recormuendatton of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Eleanor Fuller was placed on reemployment list for per~od of s ix months in conformity with policy of reducing "leave of absence" status to minimum; action subject to Civil Service Board. On recommendation of the committee-and on motion of Trustee Mandy~ seconded by Reed and carried, Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Assistant Building Inspectors are to be reimbursed once each month for use of privately owned cars in discharge of duties as Inspectors, at the rate of 6~ per mile, under certain terms and conditions as set out in committee,s report. ,, On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Engineer was instructed to install street light approximately 400 ft. south of Edgewood Road on Bush St., and communication from Carl M. Heim was ordered filed ~Copies of letters from Laguna Beach-Santa Ana Stage Line and Santa Ana Bus Line requesting bus stops at various locations, and which were referred to Street Commissioner and City Engineer for investigation, were held over until next meeting of Council. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, request of Resident Manager, Casa de Santa Ana for increase in salaries of two maintenance men, such increases to be retroactive as of Jan. l, 1948, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried~ request of City Engineer for two engineering draftsmen and increas in salary of Secretary, was received and filed. seconded by Chandler and carried, On motion of Trustee Mandy, the City Council adj ~urned.
