Mandy, seconded by and carried, action was postponed for two weeks on Ordinance amending Plumbing Ordinance to give the Council time to study same. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance Amending the Uniform Building Code 1946 Edition, Adopted by Ordinance No. 1180, of the City of Santa Ana" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, com~unlcation of the Planning Commission granting variance to permit real estate tract advertising signs on Lot 23, in Block "A' and Lots 4 and 23 in Block "B" of Tract No. 603, under ~ertain conditions, in accordance with application of Anaheim Co., was approved. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, communication of the Planning Commission granting variance to permit a combination of commercial and residential buildings for a new and used furniture business, offices, and truck storage in connection with a transfer business on Lot 10, Block 4 of Pacific Electric Sub-division, under certain conditions, in accordance with application of James B. Sommers and Fred E. Smith, was approved. This being the date set for public hearing to amend the Zoning Ordinance to reclassify Lot 15 of Tract No. 554, Huntington S, from R-1 District to R-2 District, in accordance with application of Clarence S. Mills, and no written or oral protests having been received, on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Amendment Application of Harold H. Greenwald, was received and ~iled, due to the fact that difficulty on the improvement of the alley has arisen and changed the plans for rezoning of this ~roperty. A request was read from Harold Yost, for a loading zone on the north side imately the western one-third of the Secy. Santa Ana City Schools, of E. ~th St., along approx- Muir School Grounds~ On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Reed and carried, ~he following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations Under Ordinance No. 1030" establishing a loading'zone on the north side of E. 4th St. betwee Grand Ave. and McClay St., located as follows: The East ,2 feet of the West 325 feet, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3648 and passed by the following vote~
