J. On motion of Trustee <br />Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication was rec- <br />eived, filed and approved subject to the Civil Service Board's <br /> <br />approval. <br />. <br />Copy of communication of Chief of Police to the Civil Service <br />Board, advising of the appointment of Walter S. Evans as proba- <br />tionary Patrolman April 5th, 1948, was read and on motion of <br />Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication was <br />received, filed and approved subject to the Civil Service Board,s <br /> <br />,a, pproval. <br />Communication of H & P Trailer and Equipment Rentals requesting <br />the possibility of having either side of the driveway painted red <br />to prohibit parking too near the drive at 1430 South Main Street, <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler, <br />the communication was referred to a committee for investigation <br />and report. City Engineer and Trustee Mandy were appointed as a <br /> <br />committee. <br />,, <br />The request of Joseph P.
