Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, <br /> Virgil H. Reed, H. Carson Smith. <br /> <br /> Noes Trustees None <br /> <br /> Absent Trustees W. J. Cheney <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br /> <br />Classification Plan, with amendments, recommended by the Civil <br /> <br />Service Board, was adopted. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the ap- <br />plication of John Robert Booth Post 7140, Veterans of Foreign Wars <br />for a permit to sell poppies on May 21st and 22nd, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />report of the City Engineer that the sidewalk in front of 2116 <br />Cypress Ave. was repaired on the 25th day of March, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and ca~ried, Clerk <br />was instructed to notify James E. Serven that upon investigation <br />by the City Engineer, he reported that the Railway Express Agency <br />has a loading dock in the rear of their place of business, and <br />it was decided that a loading zone was not necessary at the curb. <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />request of the Elk's Lodge for a Loading Zone in front of their <br />club house, 510 N. Sycamore St., was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, com- <br />munication of Rainbowriter's Guild Service submitting plan for <br />fresh water conservation and fire hazard elimination, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the re- <br />quest of the National Automobile Club for permission to install a <br />double-faced enamnel trade mark sign, at 313 W. 17th St., was re- <br />ferred to the City Attorney for study of the Sign Ordinance and <br />report back at the next meeting on the legality of the sign. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br /> which would include the Mayor <br />Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee/to study the Auction <br /> <br />Ordinance, and report back at the next meeting.
