J. Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. <br /> Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br /> <br />Resolution and Deed on Lot X, Block A and Lot Y, Dlock B of the <br /> <br />Oak~ont Tract No. 378, were referred back to the City Attorney to <br /> <br />secure Easement Deed. <br /> <br />The report of the Co~ittee was read <br /> <br />on Section 17-A of Ordinan~ <br /> <br />No. 658 w~th reference to auctions, and on motion of Trustee Mand <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommenda~ons of the <br /> <br />mitte~ were accepted and the City Attorney instructed to amend th <br /> <br />Ordinance to coincide with the recommendations. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, th, <br /> <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance ~ending Ordinance No. 821, Entitled 'An <br /> Ordinance providing for the Appointment of a Plumbing <br /> Inspector, Defining his duties and fixing his compen- <br /> sation: Regulating the Method of Constructing Plumbing <br /> Work, He,se, Drainings, and Gas Fitting, Providing for <br /> the Inspection Thereof and the Issuance of Permits <br /> Therefor: and Providing a Penalty for the Violation of <br /> said Ordinance" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1226, and passed b <br /> <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees W.J. Reed, R.Carson Sm <br />Noes, T~ustees None <br />Absent, TPustees None <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br /> <br />request of the H and P Trailer & Equipment Rentals, to have the <br /> <br />driveway painted red to prohibit parking too near the drive at <br /> <br />1430 South Main St., was denied on recommendation of the Committe~ <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney arrd carried, the re~ <br /> <br />quest of Joseph P. Koral for the improvement of street conditions <br /> <br />~on Cypress Street and Flora Street, was received and filed; the <br />Engineer having reported that certain improvements had been made. <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br /> <br />request of the National Automobile Club, for permission to install <br /> <br />the sign at 313 W. Seventeenth Street, was denied, same being in <br /> <br />violation of the Sign Ordinance, and the Building Inspector was <br /> <br />instructed to notify the Automobile Club of Southern California t~ <br /> <br />remove its sign in front of its office. <br /> <br /> <br />
