<br />for maintenance of state highway in
<br />the City of Santa Aha"
<br />
<br />and carried,
<br />
<br />for the period July 1st, 1948 to June 30th, 1949, was read, con-
<br />sidered, designated Resolution No. 36S2 and passed by the follow-
<br />
<br />ing vote:

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute the lease between the
<br />City of Santa ~na and the Pacific Electric Railway Co. covering a
<br />private road crossing over Pacific Electric Ry. Co. Newport Beach
<br />line right-of-way at Engineer's Station 1908 $ 88.38, County of
<br />Orange, for term beginning Sept. 1st, 1948 and ending August 31st,
<br />1949, at rental of $8.00 per annum or fraction thereof.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />plans as submitted by City Engineer, for the reconstruction and
<br />widening of Grand Avenue between First and FDurth Streets, were
<br />~pproved.
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />
<br />the City Council adjourned.
