<br />A petition was read signed by nineteen residents of Fairmont St.,
<br />requesting that "slow sign" be permitted to remain in the street.
<br />The Chief of Police stated there is a state law prohibiting
<br />placing of signs in the street and on motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />seconded by Cheney and csrried, the Clerk was instructed to advise
<br />Mr. Ch~istensen of this regulation.

<br />A petition was read signed~by six property owners requesting that
<br />alley extending northerly 340 ft. from St. Andrews Place between
<br />Standard Ave. and Evergreen St., be abandoned, and on motion of
<br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed a~nd carried, petition was
<br />referred to Planning Commission for recommendation.

<br />The inventory of the H.&.H. Second-hand Store having been sub-
<br />mitted to the Police Department for checking and merchandise found
<br />to be i~ order, on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler
<br />and carried, the application and inventory to hold a public auctic
<br />August 185h, !9th, 20th and 21st, 1948, was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, a
<br />Resolution changing position nominated as "Steno-Clerk II" to
<br />"Secretary", was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3684
<br />and passed by the following vote:

<br />ment for all the purposes and uses of installing and maintaining
<br />water main, in, through, across and over that real property
<br />located in Santa Aha, described as follows~
<br />
<br /> A strip of land, six feet in width, the west line
<br /> of which is the center line of Flower, extended
<br /> southerly from Edinger Street to the north line of
<br /> Tract No. 289; the east line being the west line
<br /> of that certain fifteen (18) foot easement which the
<br /> City now holds for drainage purposes,
