Noes, Trustees None ,, Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney On motion of Trustee ~eed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Resolution Accepting Deed from Carole J. Herrick~ a married woman, was referred to City Attorney to determine if there are any unpaid taxes on this property. 0n motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the recommendation of the committee was adopted that the sidewalks around the Santa Aha College grounds be constructed, with the back edge of the sidewalk being along the line forty feet from center on both streets. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, street light was ordered installs at corner of Occidental and Maple Streets. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Hesolution designating Hugh M. NeighOour as the official to make the annual report to the State Controller as required by Collier-Burns Highway Act~ of 1947" was read, considered, the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees designated Resolution No. ~687 and passed by W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, R. Carson Smith. None None Truste~ Reed reported that he had information from Rodent Control Division advising that considerable time has been spent on the matter of rodent control and that they will continue to check apartment building at 814 Nc. Sycamore St., to ascertain if infestation is occurring in compliance with complaint from Mrs. Susie Fulton. ,, Trustee Reed reported that committee appeared before the Board of Supervisors and were advised that plans for drainage ditch south of Santa Aha have been finished and right-of-way acquired, and ,r, ight-of-way not as yet purchased is in process of condemnation. The Clerk read communication from Mrs. Alicia M. Chandler in which she stated that she was roughly ejected from Planning Commission meeting on July 26th, 1948. The Chief of Police explained the action of his Police Officer. The Chairman requested that Police Officer Fink appear before the Board to explain his version of the incident. The Chairman~ questioned Officer Fink in regard to manner in which he ejected Mrs. Chandler from the meeting. Mrs. Chandler related her experience and protested accusations made by persons that she was intoxicated. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, Chairman appointed Trustee Mandy, as Chairman, Chief of Police and Attorney W.K.Lindsay to investigate the accusations and interview witnesses ~resent at the meeting and to report back. d
