/ In Re Pro?o.al from Roy-S.Horton (Grand Ave.) M~yOr oF-the 0~of Santa Ana A proposal was read from Roy S. Horton requesting that City pay $1800.00 in exchange for deeding the westerly ten feet on Grand Avenue and setting forth other stipulations. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the City Engineer was accepted and Attorney authorized to file condemnation proceedings against Roy S. Horton covering said property. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Council adjourned to Monday, August 16th, 1948, at 7:50 P.M. City Clerk Council Chamber Santa Aha City Hall August 16th, 1947. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Clerk. Present: Absent: Trustees · W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed. Trustees R. Carson Smith. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, Trustee Reed was appointed Mayor Pro-Tem in the absence of Mayor Smith. Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of August 2nde. 9th and 18th, 1948, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried.
