W.J.Cheney Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of July 17th and July 31st, 1950, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried. In Re Request Close portion of French St. (Burr Huff) On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Map together with request of Burr Huff that a portion of French north of 20th Street be closed due to change of alignment of a portion of French Street caused by Tract No. 1335 and No. 1572 In Re Advertise for bids - irrigation pipe were referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. . Hendricks, and R. John F. Renshaw~ 2019 So. Main St., was received and filed. . On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the application of Joseph K. McCarthy to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles at 615 So. Main Street, was granted. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and c~rrled, the application of Stanton House Movers for permission to move an over height building, was granted. # A petition was read signed by ten residents and property owners in the 1000 and ll00 block West St. Andrews Place requesting overhead street lights be installed on West St. Andrews Place between Towner and Baker Street and on motion of Trustee Reed, In Re Opinion No.102 of Attorney- (Pacific Electric seconded by Chandler and carried, request was granted. # Opinion No. 102 of the City Attorney was read reference Paclfi~ Electric franchise and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded Martin and carried, the Attorney was instructed to investigate
