On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and ca, tied, matter was referred to committee for clarification. Trustee Reed, City Attgrney and Purchasing Agent, were appointed, as committee. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Chandler and carried, City Engineer was authorized to sell the two tons Of broken cast iron, brass and copper fittings. . On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Clerk was authorized to designate the person to act as Clerk at the public auction to be held at 10:00 A.M. August 31st, 1950. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Map of Tract No. 1458 was approved, covering improvements of Martha Lane between Washington and Fifteenth Street, and bond written by Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company, in the amount of $1500.00 was accepted, subject to approval of City Attorney, and proper officials authorized to sign map. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of T~astee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the City Attorne was instructed to institute proceedings to abandon that portion of French Street shown as a part of Lot 1 on Tentative Map of Tract No. 1472, which map has not yet been approved. On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, proper officials were authorized to execute agreement dated August 21st, 1950, between the City and the County of Orange, whereby the County agrees to remove the present concrete pavement on Bristol Street, between Wilshire Street and Delhi Road, within the City, and to complete road excavations in preparing Bristol Street for improvement. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by M~rtin and carried,.the City Attorney was instructed to institute proceedings to rezone property located on the ~eU~heas~ corner of Broadway and Anahurst Place from the R-1 zone to the"O" zone. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, proper officials were authorized to execute Fire Protection Mutual Aid Agreement after an additional stipulation is inserted stating that the Fire Chief has complete use of equipment if and when needed in the City of Santa Ana. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, proper offici8ls were authorized to execute agreement dated August 21st, 1950, between City and Diehl and Company covering accounting services for a period of one year.
