Tract 141~ (Monitor ~omes) In Re Amend. to Zoning Ordinance - vicinity of proposed Freeway at Lincoln Ave. In Re Request Black & Green Cab proposed subdivision, and report back with recommendation. # On motion of Trustee ~handler, seconded by Reed and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variane granted to Bank of America National T~ust and Savings Association to permit a pa~king lot at 812 Bush Street, on property known as Lot 8 in Block #B# of Price and Stella Fruit Addition, which parking lot is proposed as an extension of the existing parking area, subject to mertain conditionso On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variant granted to Esther Ann West to permit a home for aged persons at 1611 South Van Ness Avenue, subJemt to certain conditions. # Trustee Chandler was exsueed from the Council Meeting at 2:45 P.M. # On motion of Tx~Astee Reed, seconded by Martin and married, t~he recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and varianc granted to Santa And School District to permit construction and use of a public school and of buildings and facilities appurtenant to such school on a portion of the area lying between South Flower and South Towner Street and extending from Russell Avenue to ~ilshire Avenue, if~hese avenues were opened between said streets and subject to certain conditions. . On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Commission initiated amendment application No. ?6, referenee ehan of zone in the vicinity of Hawley and 5th Streets, was referred back to the Planning Commission with the statement that the Courts does not approve of the buffer strips and that further study be given the matter. # Communication and Resolution No. 343 of the Planning Commission were read recommending reclassification of Lots 124 to 128, inclusive, in Tramt No. 1415 from the R-1 to the "C# District, sumh property being on the east side of Bristol Street, north of Edinger-St~ee~, in accordance with application of Monitor Homes, Inoorporate~. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and ea~ried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing, ten days prior to the next meeting of the Council on October 2nd, 1950, relative to reclassification of above property. # Communication and Resolution No. 338 of the Planning Commission were read recommending reclassification of certain property in th immediate vicinity ortho proposed Freeway crossing at Lincoln Avenue from the M-2 Manufacturing District to the R-2 Residence District, in accordance with Commission initiated Amendment No. 7~ On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing, ten days prio to the next meeting of the Council on Omtober 2nd, 1950, relative to reolasslfieation of above property. # The report of the committee was read denying request of Black and Green Cab for a taxi stop space immediately in f~ont of the cab
