Martin Jr. # On motion of Truste~ Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, following Ordinance entitled: t~e "An Ordinance amending Section 24, Article III of the Code of rules and regulations establishing fire preventive measures adopted by City Ordinance Number 864" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. . On .recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the bid of Worthington-Gamon Metex Company, in the amount of $18.23 each was accepted covering t~e furnishing of 1000 5/8" x 3/%" bronze water meters. . On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, petition signed by $5 property owners on Cypress Avenue and St. Andrews Place requesting the formation of an assessment district for the purpose of constructing curbs, sidewalks where needed, a~nd paving the streets, was referred to the City Engineer to chec the names appearing on the petition and ascertain if signers are residents of the area and report back at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, communication of the Planning Commission recommending disapproval of Tentative Map of Tract No. 1473 involving a portion of the land lying between Valencia and Main err=ets and between Edgewood Road and Santiago Park, was accepted.and Map disapproved. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, commUnication from City Engineer advising that on the west side of Santa Aha Boulevard opposite LaVeta Avenue, an intersection wa built at the time that Santa Aha Boulevard was constructed but at the present time there is no official railroad crossing at this point, and recommending that City Attorney be instructed to prepare necessary papers for such application, was received and filed. # No written or oral protests were received reference amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to change zone of a portion of the area ' bounded by Fifth Street, Eighth Street, Hawley Street, King Street and the right-of-way of' the Pacific Electric Railway, with the
