Smith and Lula Mary <br /> Dungan in the amount of $16,000.00 for the northeast corner of <br /> South Broadway and West Pine Street; Charles Carrillo, in the sum <br /> of $30,000.00 for a lot 125~x125~ at the northeast corner of First <br /> and Garnsey Streets and A.G.Eldred and Company, in the amount of <br /> $15,800.00 for property located at the southwest corner of Second <br /> and Birch Streets, for a fire station site, and on motion of <br /> Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, offers were tabled <br /> for further study. The Chairman suggested to the Council that. <br /> serious consideration be given to locating the new fire station <br /> on City owned parking lot on West Third Street between Birch and <br /> Rose, as revenue derived from parking meters on the lot does not <br /> Jus$1fy continued use as a Municipal parking lot. On motion of <br /> Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was tabled <br /> <br /> for further study. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> renewal of Contract N 123s'-~$653 with the Public Works Office, <br /> Eleventh Naval District covering sewer disposal at the Lighter-Tha~ <br /> Air Base, was referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer for <br /> reply. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Mayor was approved and the following named <br /> persons were appointed as members of the Charter Committee: <br /> <br />.Harry Owings, Ray Daniger, William Spurgeon Jr., Richard Taylor, <br />Robert Walker, Frank Evans, Tom Markham, Nels Warren and Courtney <br />R. Chandler. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />Purchasing Agent was authorized to secure quotations and negotiate <br />for sale of a piece of property in the vicinity of Anahurst and <br />Flower Streets, described as the west 33 ft. of Lot 10, Tract No. <br /> <br /> 581. <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion ef Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />City Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
