Chandler. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of October 19th, 1950, further reading of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition - sidewalk <br />W. side Valencia <br />S. from 22nd St. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by ten property owners on the west <br />side of Valencia street, south of 22nd Street, stating that they <br />are sa$isfied with the location of the sidewalk as it now ~xists, <br />which permits six feet of space between the curb and walk and on <br /> <br />motion of Trustee Martin, s~conded by Reed and carried, the City <br /> <br />Engineer was~instructed to accept the sidewalk as it now exists in <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Wm.F.Hentges <br /> <br />In Re <br />Map Tract <br />No. 1472 <br /> <br />this particular area. Brogan, ll01 East First Street, for a twenty-minute <br /> <br />parking zone was referred to committee to report back. City <br /> <br />Engineer was appointed, as committee. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />communication fl-om Safeway Stores expressing appreciation for grant <br />lng variance permitting additional off-street parking at 1438-50 <br />Cypress Avenue, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, <br />communication from O'Melveny & Myers-was received and filed, statI <br />that the 1911 Act Proceedings for the construction of certain <br /> <br />improvements in Assessment District No. 194, kno?m as the Southeas <br /> <br />Sewer District have been examined, and in their opinion such <br /> <br />proceedings have been t8~en in accordance with the laws and <br /> <br />In Re <br />Auction <br />City surplus <br />property <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Jim~ie Kazaroff <br /> <br />Constitution of the State of California. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Council was approved and 1948 Packard sedan, <br />formerly assigned to the Chief of Police, was declared surplus <br />property and ordered listed for sale at auction to be held Novembe~ <br />2~th, 1950. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Jimmie Kazaroff requesting opportunity~ <br />to bid on contract for collection of garbage and trash and on <br />motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, <br /> <br />communication was received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
