Knowland, Senator, reference app- lication of Southwest Airways Company for local air service, was received and fi%ed. On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, communication from J.A.Walker suggesting that cross-walks be established at various locations, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication f~om Geo. Niedergal! suggesting that name of Santa Aha Memorial Park be changed to 8purgeon Park, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Resolution of the Board of Supervisors granting reo3ect of the City Council of the City of San~a Ana for the consolidation of said special municipal election with said direct primary election to be held June 6, 1950, for the purpose of voting upon the pro- position for issuance of bonds for municipal improvements, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, request of Harold Hamel and Don Walker, 315 E. 5th St., for per- mission to enlarge the south driveway approximately 12 feet and the east driveway approximately 6 feet, was referred to a committe to investigate and report back. Trustee Cheney and City Engineez were appointed, as committee. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, request of American Legion Amxiliary for permission to sell Memorial Day Poppies Nay 26th and 27th, was granted. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, app- lication of Esther E. Pearce and R.G. Pearce for permission to conduct an auction of complete furnishings of the Rossmore Hotel, April 29th, 1950, was ~anted. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the application of Ira N. Lish to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles at 1025 S. Main St., was granted. On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and TentatiVe Map of Tract No. 1335 approved, subject to cOrrecting of Map to meet City Engineer's approval. On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, NaP submitted by Allison Honer Company, showing proposed abandonment of that portion of Greenleaf St. extending between Santa Clara and Bonnie Brae, to provide an easement six feet in width for publ utiJity pu_~poses was tabled,and Engineer instructed to check records and ascertain if propert~ was purchased by the City and amount of consideration.
