Map submitted by Allison Honer Company showing proposed abandon- ment of a portion of ~reenleaf Street between Santa Clara and in width Bonnie Brae providing an easement six fee,/having been referred to ~he City Engineer, on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, Engineerls written report w~s filed stating that each of the deeds on Greenleaf Street, north of Santa Clara showed a consideration of $10.00 paid and acknowledged but was unable to determine whether that was the sole consideration. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, request of Harold Hamel for permission to enlarge driveway at 315 E. 5th St., was tabled until next meeting. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering demands. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the bid of John J. Swigart Company, in the amount of $26,359.29 was accepted, for the gradin~ P.C.C. curbs and surfacing of South Flower Street from Delhi Road t6 Edinger Street. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, plans and specifications for the construction of a g~rbage hopper to be located at the City Dump were approved and Engineer instruc~ ed to proceed with the work. ,, On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance providing method to hold a public auction, at least once a year, of all City surplus property and Police properties, all property to be accumulated at a central location and to be described in the advertisement; auction to be cQnducted by some member of the City Council or ~omeone designated by the Council. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Council adjourned to Friday, May 5th, 1950, ~t 7:30 P.M.', in the Council Chamber.
