Fgrnandez and Ricardo Plasencia to conduct <br /> public dances at 838 E. let St., was referred to committee of <br /> Police Commissioner and Chief of Police for recommendation and <br /> <br /> report, subject to clearance from Bull~ing and Fire Departments. <br /> . <br /> On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee <br /> Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the Clerk was authorized <br /> to advertise for bi~ for 5000 feet of 12 inch, Class 150, Bell <br /> and Spigot, cement lined, cast iron water pipe. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from City Engineer, together with copy of <br /> letter from Public Works Officer, llth Naval District, relatlvetc <br /> entering into an agreement with the Navy for the construction of <br /> an 18 inch water line to the Marine Corps Air Station, E1 Toro <br /> from the Orange County feeder line of the Metropolitan Water <br /> District at Delhi Road and B~lstol Street. On motion of Trustee <br /> Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, communications were <br /> <br /> received and filed. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br /> City Engineer was instructed to prepare a Resolution requesting <br /> the llth Naval District to Join with the City in ~he construction <br /> <br /> of a water main.~oproximately 24 inches in diameter. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic <br /> beverage application made by Fred A. Hendricks, 2019 S. Main St., <br /> <br /> was ~ecelved and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hartin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br /> application of M.E.Peters to conduct the business of dealing in <br /> <br /> motor vehicles at 519 No. Broadway, was gu-anted. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Mamtin, seconded by Reed and ca~ried, the <br /> applications of Lawrence Edward Freeman and Robert A. Tracy, to <br /> d_vive taxicabs were granted and permits or~lered issued. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> tentative Map of Tract No. 1434, was disapproved,consisting of a <br /> tier of 12 lots on the west side of Shelton Street ex~ending from <br /> Myrtle Street southerly approximately 630 feet, as recommended <br /> by the Planning.Commission,unless arrangements ar~ made tO extend <br /> Bishop Street from Shelton to Bristol Street as laid Out on <br /> <br /> Tentative Map of Tract No. 139?-and previously approved. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br /> quarterly <br />/~eport.cf Diehl and Company for the period ending March ~lst, 1950 <br /> <br /> was received and filed. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br /> repor~of the Police Department and of the Juvenile Bureau, for <br /> the month of April, 1950, were received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
