City EngineE and Building Inspector, were appointed, as committee. # Communication and Resolution No. 323 of the Planning Commission were read recommending reclassification of property at 310 North Bristol Street, known as the northerly 80 feet of Lots 17 and 18 in Block #B" of Goldsmithls Addition, from R-2 to C-2 District, in accordance with application of Tony Luna. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing, ten days prior to the next meeting of the Council on July 3rd, 1950, relative to re- Olassification of above property. . On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Chamber of Commerce requesting that two-thirds 'of the money taken from the parking meters be applied to the pro- vision of additional off-street parking, was tabled for further study. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, communication from Rosa Belle Saunders requeetin~ that a Youth Temperance headquarters be established, was received and filed. # Communication was read from City Engineer advising that improve- ments within the boundaries of Tract No. 1339 have been satis- factorily completed, and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, bond submitted by Glenn Falls Indemnity Company, in the'amount of $11,500.00, was ordered released. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, City Attorneyls Opinion No. 96 reference use of public funds to influence vote on bond election, was received and filed. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission that the ordinance regulating the subdivision of land be amended to provide that lot~ be required to have an average width of not less than fifty feet, was referred to the Council, as a committee, for study. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the Building Inspector was approved ~o hire a man to assume duties of Electrical Inspector, who is on vacati~ for a period of four weeks. #
