On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, proper authorities were authorized to execute receipt and release of Southern California Edison Company, in connection with an accident which occurred on April 6th, 1950, and voucher No. 5-3017 in the amount of $93.80 ordered deposited. , On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Resolution No. 157 from Placentia Sanitary District, authorizing the City of Santa Ara, as contracting city, to make and award a contract for designing of a new circulating unit for digester number one and digester number three in the present sewage dispoea plant number one, and to award a contract for the construction thereof, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, claim and demand for refund of property taxes, requested by Young Nones Christian Association of Santa Ara, in the amount of $1206.8' and interest was referred to the City Attorney for recommendation and to report back. # Communication was read from City Engineer, together with copy of letter from Captain C. R. Johnson, Public Works Officer of the Eleventh Naval District, San Diego, referring to Resolution No. 3939 requesting United States Navy to Join with the City in the on Delhi Road. construction of a water line~ On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, Permit Agreement between City and United States Navy was referred to the City Attorney for recommend. ation and to report back at next meeting. # . Communication was read from City Engineer, together with letter from General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Water Department of the City of Long Beach, reference membership fees of the Californis Municipal Utilities Association, and on motion of Trustee Chandler. seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was tabled for further study. # On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, proper officials were authorized to sign escrow instructions for the acceptance from Mar E. and George E. Huffm-n Of a 25 foot right-of-way north of the center line of Myrtle Street extended, for street and sewer purposes, in the amount of $450.00. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, Map was approved of Tract No. 1416_/covering improvements of Martha Lane and English Street, and bond written by Hartford Accident and Indemnity Companl in the amount of $3500.00, submitted by Roy Russell et ux, accepts, and proper authorities authorized to sign map. # A petition wac read signed by twenty-four residents and property owners in the 1300 and 1400 block Sp~rgeon Street requesting that a street light be placed on an existingpole sit~ated in parking between 1310 and 1314 Spurgeon Street. On motion of Trustee Reed seconded by Chandler and carried, request was referred to City Engineer with power to act. #
