<br />filed and Trustee Reed instructed to answer the communication.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, scconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />
<br />following Ordinance. entitled:
<br />
<br />"An Ordinance regulating the use of orchard,
<br />nursery, or citrus grove heaters, prohibiting
<br />certain types, and providing penalty for
<br />violation"
<br />
<br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second
<br />
<br />reading,
<br />.
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed,
<br />
<br />seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"A Resolution authorizing the award of a
<br />contract for designing of a new circulating
<br />unit for digester number one and digester
<br />number three in the present s~wage disposal
<br />plant number one, and authorizing the award
<br />of a contract for the construction thereof"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3955 and passed
<br />
<br />by the following vote:
<br />
<br />Ayes, Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr.,
<br /> Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy.
<br />Noes, Trustees None
<br />Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the
<br />Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Nelson Launer, Manager,
<br />requesting him to follow up with reference to matters pertaining
<br />to Joint Outfall Sewer activities from member cities and Sanitary
<br />Districts in order to expedite action on any and all Joint Outfal~
<br />
<br />Sewer projects.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />City Engineer was instructed to make survey and recommendations
<br />on the Santa Ana trunk sewer lines from the Joint Outfall Sewer
<br />
<br />Treatment Plant to the City of Santa Aha.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />George Townsend was reappointed to serve as a member of the
<br />
<br />Forestry Board; term to expire June 30th, 1953.
<br />.
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />
<br />Wm. ~ Moore was reappointed to serve as a member of the Planning
<br />
<br />Commission; term to expire June 30th, 195~.
<br />.
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />
<br />Ted Blanding was reappointed to serve as a member of the Library
<br />
<br />Board; term to expire June 30th, 1953.

<br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />
<br />John Brunet was appointed to serve as a member of the Library
<br />
<br /> Board; term to expire June 30th, 1953.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the
<br />City Council adjourned to Monday, June 26th, 1950, at.2:00 P.M.,
<br />in the Council Chamber.
