RESOLUTION OF INTNNTION <br /> No. 1401 <br /> <br /> A RE~OLUTION OF TRE BOARD OF TRIBTEES OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DECZARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER <br />THE PAVING AND OTHERWISE INPROVING OF A PORTION OF WEET FIFTB <br />STREET, IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA; DECLARING THE SAID WOI~K OR <br />INPROVEN~ENT TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENE- <br />FIT; DECI~RING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY S^ID WORK AND <br />INPROVEMENT, AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES <br />THEREOF: DETERNINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT <br />SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES: AND FIXING THE TINE AND PLACE FOR <br />HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR INPROVEMENT, OR TO THE EX- <br />TENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aaa, <br /> California, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act <br /> <br /> of 1911, ,nd the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and the amend- <br />'ments to ~sid Acts, do resolve ss follows: <br /> <br /> SEb~TION I. That the public interest end conven~nce <br /> require, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of <br /> the City of Santa Ana, Califo~nla, to order the construction <br /> of the following described work and improvement, all within <br /> said City, to-wit: <br /> <br /> In, on and along the roadway of West Fifth Street, <br /> an open public highway in the City of SantaAna, from the West! <br /> llne of North Artesia Street Westerly to e point two (2) feet <br /> Northeasterly from the Northeasterly rail of the Pacific <br /> Electric railroad and parallel to said Northeasterly re,il, <br /> across West Fifth Street. <br /> <br /> And where~ny street or alley intersectt or termi- <br />nates in t~e above described portion of street in, on and <br />along which work is to be done or improvement is to be made, <br />then.beyond the curb line and across the sidewalk reserva~ <br />tions to the property lines thereof. <br /> <br />The work and improvement on the above described <br />~ortions of roadway is more particularly described ss follows <br /> <br /> 1. The grading of said street to a subgrade seven <br />{V) inches below the finished grade as shown on the plans <br />from curb line to curb line, excepting therefrom that portio~ <br />of roadway now paved with a Portland cement concrete pave- <br />ment, same bine twenty (20) fees in width, and where any <br />street or alley intersects or terminates along the said <br />street, the grading of the subgrade sha~l extend beyond the <br />curb line and across the sidewalk reservatlon to the propert~ <br />line and upon the said subgrade shall be constructed a seven <br />(V) inch Portland Cement Conerete pavement.
