RESOLUTION NO. 1535 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF STREET <br />IMPROVEMENT BONDS PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0.1429, <br />DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS, PRESCRIBING THE <br />DENONINATION OF SUCH BONDS~ AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR ISSUANCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of filing list <br />of unpaid assessments was duly given in the manner and fc~m <br />required by law, that the warrant, assessment and diagram re- <br />~orded on the 2nd day of June, 1925, for the work and improve- <br />merit made by Griffith Co., under that certain contract awarded <br />to it on the 16th day of March, 1925, on Kilson Drive, Bishop <br />Street and Wakeham Avenue, and that said warrant, assessment <br />and diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of said <br />City, together with a written statement of all payments re- <br />ceived upon the said assessment, and after the Oall expiration <br />of twenty (20) days from the date of said warrant, the Street <br />Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of said <br />City of Santa Ana, a complete list of all assessments unpaid <br />upon the said assessment, which list is now on file in the of- <br />lice of the City Clerk of said City, now upon evidence shown <br />this Board determines that the assessments therein mentioned <br />were then unpaid, the total aggregate thereof being the sum of <br />Eight Thousand, Four Hundred Sixty-three and 30/lOOths <br />($8,463.30) Dollars, and that assessment number 40, aggregatin <br />the sum of Fourteen and 80/lOOths ($14.80) Dollars has since <br />been paid, and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Eight <br />Thousand, Four Hundred Forty-eight and 50/lOOths ($8,448.50) <br />Dollars upon the assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention <br />No. 1429 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, <br />passed the 16th day of February, 1925, for a complete descrip- <br />tion of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid <br />assessments filed as above noted, for the assessments unpaid. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the <br />manner required by law to appear before the Board of Trustees <br />of the said City of Santa Ana, California, in the Council Cham- <br />bet of the City Hall. of said City, at the hour of V:30 o'clock <br />P.M. of Monday, the 6th day of July, 1925, and show cause why <br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid <br />assessments shown on said Street Superintendentts list; and <br /> <br /> ~VHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and <br />form required by law that serial bonds to,represent unpaid as- <br />sessments bearing interest at the rate of six (6%) per cent <br />per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in <br />the "Improvement Bond Act of 1918", the last installment of <br />which bonds shall mature nine years from the 2nd day of July, <br />next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. <br /> <br /> <br />
