:70 in the-said City of Santa Ara be vacated, closed up and abandoned as follows,~ to-wit: All of a strip of land 16.8 feet wide and .extending south from the south line of East First Street in the City of Santa Ana, California, to the Northeasterly line of the right of way of the Atchison, Topeka' and Santa Fe Railroad Compan~ and being more particularly described as a reservation for road purposes in Book 90, page 159 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, under date of Dec. 3, 1881, in which A.E.Hathaway and Cornelia Hathaway conveyed to Dr. H.H.Maynard, land as follows: Com~nencing' at a pgXnt 73 ll/13 rods West from the Northeast corner of Section 18, Township Five (5) South, R~nge'Nine (9) West, S.B.B.&.M., running thence South 65 rods; thence West 24.6 rods; thence North 65 rods; thence East 24.6 rods to the place of beginning and containlng ten acres more or less; reserving therefbom a strip of land one todd wide off the East side for road purposes. All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana for the said abandonment, by Resolution No. 1796, on the 1st day of August, 192v. The public work ordered smd the improvement to be made is for the purpose of closin8 up and abandoning a certai~ alley as heretofore set forth and for that reason no district i~ chargeable therewith. Ai~ of the herein proposed work shall~e dnne in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California designated Street Opening Act of 1889, and amend- ments thereto. For further particularS~ reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 1~97, which is dated the 1st day of August, 192~, and on file with the Clerk of the Cit of Santa Ans. The Clerk of the City of Santa Arm is herewith instructed to record a copy of this Resolution Ordering tmpr~ ment in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution Order lng Improvement No. 181~ was duly introduced and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of ~anta at an adjourned regular meeting of said City Council, held on the 29th day of AugUst, 192~, by the following vote: AYES, TRUSTEES: J.L.NcBride, ~.J.Kelly, W.G.Knox, F.L.Purinton.
