RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1855 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWER SYSTEM, AND OTHERWISE IMPROVING OF HALLADAY STREET, FROM A POINT 510.42 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH LINE OF FIRST STREET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF FIRST STREET; GARFIELD STREET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF FIRST STREA~ TO THE CENTER LINE OF SIXTH STREET; SIXTH STREET FROM THE CENTER LINE OF GARFIELD STR~T TO THE CENTER LINE OF POINSETTIA STREET, POINSETTIA STREET FROM THE CENTER LINE OF SIXTH STREET TO THE CENTER LINE OF FRUIT STREET IN SAID CITY; DECLARING THE SAID WORK AND IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED THEHEBY AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES, AND FIX- ING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK AND IMPROVEMENT OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DDBTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to th~ provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires, and it is the intention of'the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order the construction of the followin described work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be done and improvement shall be made hereunder are upon and along those open public streets conmnonly known as and called, Eall~d~y Street from a point 510.42 feet South of the South llne of First Street to the South llne of First Street; Garfield Street from the North line of First Street to the center line of Sixth Street; Sixth Street from the center line of Garfield Street to the center line of Poinsettia Street; and Poinsettia Street from the center line of Sixth Street to the center line of Fruit Street. That the work tobe done and the improvements to be made upon and along the above described portions of said streets shall be as follows: The excavation of trenches and furnishing and laying there of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay Pipe~Main Sanitary Sewer, including concrete manholes, concrete manh, lvs with drop connections, connect- ions to existing manholes, connecting existing house service connections to the Main to be installed, "Y" branches and all necessary appurtenances thereto, all of such sizes and constructed to such grades and locations as are indicated on the plans. That in all cases where any type of pavement is cut for any purpose during the construction, the repair and replacement of as such pavement, using the same type of construction/was originally laid, e~cept that all replacement p&t~hes shall be two inches thicker than the pavement removed, and extreme care shall be used in back filling excavations where pavement is to be ~elaid, in order to obtain a firm and unyielding subgrade. Together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plans or specifications, which shall be considered as .n
