RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO
<br /> ASSESSMENT, APPROVING ASSESSMENT AND ORDERING
<br /> THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO ATTACH WARRANT AND
<br /> RECORD.
<br />
<br /> NO. 1996
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ara did on the
<br />6th day of February, 1928, pass Resolution of Intention No. 1880 for th~
<br />improvement of portions of St. Andrews Place, St. Gertrude Place, Van
<br />Ness Avenue, Ross Street, Birc~ Street, Broadway and Sycamore Street;
<br />and, whereas, on the 2nd day of July, 1928, the Superintendent of
<br />Streets of said City filed an assessment to cover the sum due for the
<br />work performed and specified in the contract made under proceedings for
<br />the said improvement, which assessment diagram was approved by the City
<br />Council of said City on the 2nd day of July, 1928.

<br /> AND, WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana has given
<br />notice as required by law, in which notice August 15, 19~, at the hour
<br />of ?:50 o'clock P.M. was fixed as the time, and the Council Chan~ber of
<br />the City Hall of said City as the place where any and all persone
<br />interested in the said work might be heard; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, there was not a quorum of the City Council present
<br />at said meeting, and the said meeting having been regularly adjourned
<br />as required by law to August 20, 1928, at the hour of ?:50 otclock P.M.
<br />at the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City; and
<br />
<br /> ~.qtEREAS, no person agg~ieved has filed with the City Council
<br />a w~itten objection to said assessment as required by law; and
<br />
<br /> ~LEREAS, at the time set for hearing protests or objections,
<br />there not being a quorum of the City Council present, and said hearing
<br />having been regularly adjourned to August 20, 1928, at the hour of 7:30
<br />o'clock P.M., at which time the City Cot~cil of said City proceeded to
<br />hear protests or objections to the same, and all of said protests or
<br />objections to said' assessment and the work done having been heard, it is
<br />hereby,
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ara that al
<br />of the said protests or objections against said assessment or the w~k
<br />done uhder said proceedings be, and the same are hereby overruled and
<br />denied and the assessment be affirmed, and that the Street Superintend-
<br />ent be, and he is hereby directed to attach to said assessment a warrant
<br />in the form and manner required by law, and shall record the same in the
<br />Office of said Superintendent of Streets.

<br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
<br />regularly passed by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at a
<br />regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of August, 1928, by the
<br />
