<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C!,~ OF
<br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE
<br /> OF STREET I~PROVEMENT BONDS, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION
<br /> OF INTENTION NO. 1868; DETERMINING THE .AMOUNT OF
<br /> UNPAID ASSESSMENTS;PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION OF
<br /> SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOE THEIR I~SUANCE IN
<br /> ANNUAL SERIES:

<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of the filing of list of unpaid
<br />assessments was duly given in the manner and form required by law, that the
<br />warrant, assessment and diagram w~s recorded on the 26th day of June, 1928,
<br />for the work and improvement made by Walker and Martin, under that certain
<br />contract awarded to them on the 6th day of Febx-uary, 1928, upon pc~tions of
<br />Bush Street, Spu~geon Street, French Street and Third Street, as set forth in
<br />Resolution of Intention No. 1865; and that said warrant, assessment and
<br />diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with
<br />a written statement of all payments received upon the said assessment; and
<br />after the full expiration of t?~ty (30) days after the date of recording of
<br />said warrnt, the said Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the City
<br />Clerk of said City of Santa ina, a complete list of all assessments unpaid
<br />upon the said assessment, which llst is now on file in the office of the
<br />
<br />City Clerk of said City; now upon evidence shoran, this City CorticAl determines
<br />that the assessments therein mentioned were then unpaid, the total aggregate
<br />thereof being the stun of Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Four and 33/100 Dollars
<br />($12,204.33), and that there has been paid since the filing of the list of
<br />unpaid assessments by the Street Superintendent the following assessments,
<br />to-wit: Assessment No. ~ for $148.22; Assessment No. 13 for $148.22;
<br />Assessment No. 14 for $148.22; Assessment No. 84 for ~148.2~; Assessment No.
<br />~8 for $148.22; and Assessment No. 91 for $368.09, and that there now remains
<br />unpaid the sum of Eleven Thousand Ninety-five and 14/100 Dollars(S11,095.14),
<br />upon the assessments shown upon said list.

<br /> Referance is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 1868 of the
<br />City Council of the City of Santa ~na, passed on the 3rd day of January,
<br />
<br />1928, for a complete description of the work herein mentioned, and to the list
<br />of unpaid assessments filed as above stated for the assessments u~paid; and
<br />
<br /> WHip, RE^S, interested persons were notified in the manner re~ired by
<br />law to appear before the City Council in the Council Chauber of the city Hall
<br />
<br /> of said city at the hour of ~:30 o'clock P.E. on Monday, the 13th day of
<br />
<br />At, gust, 19~8, and show cause, why bonds should not be issued upon the s curity
<br />of the ~paid assessments shoM~ on the Street Superintendent's list; and there
<br />not being a quor~tm present at said time and place, said meetin8 w~s regularly
<br />adjourned as required by law until August 20, 1928, ~t the hotu~ of V:30
<br />o'clock P.M.; and

<br /> ~VHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by
<br />law, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, bearing interest at th~
<br />rate of six per cent per annu~.~, will be issued he~e~n~der in the manner pro-
<br />vide~ in the "I~provement ~ond Act oF 191~", the last installment of which
<br />bonds sha~i~ m~ture nine years from the 2nd day of July, next succeeding ten
<br />(10) months frGn their date; and all interested persons having ap~eared before
<br />
