RESOLUTION NO. 2230 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pacific Electric Railway Company has made an application to <br />the Railroad Comuission of the State of California for a permit to discontinue <br />passenger service upon the Santa Ana-0range line, and the Railroad Conmuission has <br />refused to grant such permit unless consented to by the City Councils of the Cities <br />of Santa Ana and Orange respectively~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ said matter has been submitted to the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana~ and a hearing held thereon~ and the matter has been given due <br />considerati0n;T <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Ana hereby consents to the discontinuance of the passenger service upon the <br />Santa Ana-0range Pacific Electric line, on c~ndition that the Pacific Electric <br />Railway Company will remove the double tracks now existing on North Main Street in <br />said City~ between Fourth Street and Sixth Street, and replace the same with a <br />single track down the center of said street, when ordered by the City Council of <br />said City to make said change. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution w~s duly and regularly <br />introduced, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at an <br />adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of August, 1930, by the <br />following stated vote, to-wit: <br /> <br />A~ES~ TRUSTEES: W.J.Kelly~ B. 0.
