RESOLUTION NO. 2271 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SANTA ANA, CALIF~NIA, RELATING TO THE <br /> ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEI~NT BONDS PURSUANT <br /> TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2201; DETERMINING <br /> THE ~0UNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING THE <br /> DENONINATION OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR <br /> ISSUANCE IN ANNUAL SERIES. <br /> <br /> I~rIEREAS, pursuant to Statute, notice of filing list of unpaid assessments was <br />duly given in the manner and form required by law, that the warrant, assessment and <br />diagram was recorded on the 12th day of November, 1930, for the work and i~provement <br />made by Hollywood Paving Company, under that certain contract awarded to it on the 7th <br />day of July, 19S0, upon portions of Shelton Street, First Street, ~¥alnut Street and Pine <br />Street, as set forth in Resolution of Intention No. S201; that said warrant, assessment <br />and diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a <br />written statement of all payments received upon the said assessment; and after the full <br />expiration of thirty (30) days after the date of the recording of said warrant, the said <br />Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of the said City of Santa <br />Ana, a complete list of all aasessments unpaid upon the said assessment, which list is <br />now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; now upon evidence sho~n, this <br />City Council determines that the assessments therein mentioned were then unpaid, the <br />total aggregate thereof being ~the sum of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Eight and <br />87/100 Dollars ($17,808.87), and that there have been paid since the filing of the list <br />of unpaid assessments by the Street Superintendent the following assessments, to-wit: <br />Assessment No. 30 for $.0~, Assessment No. OF for i~8.1D, Assessment No. ~21~ for <br />Assessment No. ll8 for ~392.R8, Assessment No. l~ for $7.08, Assessmenb No. 1SS for <br />$7.08, Assessment No. 1S~ for (i~.9~, Assessment No. 15~ for ~.8~, Assessment No. 1~8 <br />for :~13.87, Assessment No. 1S2 for ~98.8~, Assessment NO. 158 for i~ll.T1, and Assessmen~ <br />No. 152 for i~.~$; and that there now remains unpaid the sum of Sixteen Thousand Five <br />Hundred Nineteen and 87~00 Dollarw (~1~,819.~7) upon the assessments shown upon said <br />list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 2201 of the City Counci <br /> of the City of Santa Ana, passed on the 2nd day of June, 19~0, for a complete description <br /> of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of u~paid assessments filed as above state <br /> for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner required by law to <br /> appear before the City Council in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City at <br /> the hour of 7:30 o~clock p.~. on Monday, the 29th day of De~ember, 1950, and show cause <br /> why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on the <br /> Street Superintendent~s list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by law, that <br />serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of 'six percent <br />per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond Act <br />of 1915", the last installment of Which bonds shall mature nine' years from the 2nd day <br />of July, next succeeding ten (10) months from their date, and all interested persons <br />having appeared before this City Co~mcil and having been given a full opportunity to <br />show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments <br />shown on said list, and all objections presented having been heard and considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOW BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, D~ERMIN~, <br /> <br /> <br />
