RESOLUTION ,NO. 2786 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on the 18th day of <br />March, 1940, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2V74 to order the h ereinafte~ <br />described improvement to be made and public work to be done in t~e City of Santa <br />Aha, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after the passage andadoption of Resolution of Intention No. <br />2774, J. L..McBride, the Street Superintendent of the City of Sauta Aha con- <br />spicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and improvement a t <br />not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and four (4) in all, <br />notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention headed "NOTICE OF PUBLIC <br />WORK", in the manner, form and substance as required by law; and said Street <br />Superintendent also caused a notice similar in substance to be published for a <br />period of ten (10) days in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspapez <br />published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and named by s aid City Council <br />in said Resolution of Intention as the paper in wtLich said notice should appear~ <br />all of which appears from the affdiavit of W. L. I.!illis, the bookkeeper and <br />accountant for s~-id daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office <br />of the Clerk of the City of Ss_nba Ana on the 30th day of ~,~arch, 1940, and is <br /> <br />now on file therein, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of <br />posting the noticeshereinbefore referred to on <br /> <br />the City of Santa Aha con~enced <br />the ~0th day of March, 1940~ and <br /> <br />fully completed the postings thereof on the ~0th day of March, 1940~ all of which <br />appears from the affidavit of J. L. McBride~ Street Superintendent of the City of <br />Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha on the 21st <br />day of March, 1940, sad more than ten (10) days have expired after the e~piration <br />of the time of the publication of said notice, within which protests or objections <br />to the proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested~ <br />objecting to said work or ir~provement or to the e×tant of the district or lands <br />to be affected or benefitted by said work or improvmuent, and to be assessed to <br />pay the costs and expenses thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ at the next meeting of the City Council afte~~ the expiration <br />of said ten (10) days following the expiration of the time of said publication of <br />said notice, and said City Council haviug heard the objections against said work <br />or improvement which were made or filed hereLn, and having considered the ssm~c, <br />and overruled said objections to said work or improvement, and the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Aha having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed <br />improvements; <br /> <br /> IT IS !~BEBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the public interest and <br />convenience requires the work hereLnafter described and the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha hereby orders the following vlork to be done and ir~provement <br />made in the City of Santa Aha, as follows: <br /> <br /> That that portion of the a lle~yway as hereinafter described, in t he <br />City of Santa Ana, be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> <br />
