It shall be son, firm or corporation, whether acting as unlawful for any per- principal, servant, agent or employee to do or cause or permit to be done any plumbing or gas fitting work, within the City of Santa Aha, w~thout first securing a permit therefor from the Plumbing Inspector of said City. Any person, f~.Er, or corporation desiring s~ch a permit shall apply therefor ~ t the said Plumb~g Inspector's office, f~]e a p~a~ or drawing a~d ~ descri~tio~ of the ~ocation and character of the worh proposed to be done, and a staten~e~:t of the cost thereof, and s~ch other ~nformation ss the Plumbing Inspector shall reasonably require. Should th~ plans or drawings or descrlrttons of the proposed Plumbing and gas fitting work show that it is proposed to be done in accordance with the terms of this ordinance and all laws of tt~e S~ate of California applicable within the city of Santa Aha, the Plumbing Inspector, ~pon pa~e~t of the appropriate fee as.hereinafter fixed, shall issue the permit applied for. All work ~nder such permit shall be done accordance w~th the submitted plans and descriptions or modifica- tions thereof approved by the Plumb!us Inspector, and shall be subjected to inspection by the Plumbing Inspector. Notice shall be given to the Plumbing Inspector by the owner or contractor doing s~ch work, or hav~ng the same done, as soon as the work is ready for ~nspect~on.
